Our Mission
We train people from all walks of life to advocate on behalf of foster children in our community.
The mission of CASA is to provide foster children in Ocean County with a trained volunteer who will advocate on their behalf while they reside in foster care. Our volunteer advocates identify needs, make recommendations to the family court and provide these children with a steady, consistent adult presence during this difficult, and often tumultuous, time in their young lives.

Dolores R., CASA Volunteer Advocate
"Being a CASA Advocate has changed my life. I know that I am the first adult in her life that she has been able to depend on. I have followed her to three foster homes and each time I visit she thanks me for 'finding her'. It is heartbreaking. Then I am get to share updates about her in court with the judge. It makes me proud when I am able to share her progress, She has come so far!"
Our Impact In 2024
In Ocean County, we continue to see a steady number of children entering foster care. Over the last year, we were asked to advocate for over 75 new children entering foster care in our county. Our volunteers have helped our foster children with their emotional needs, issues that arose in their education, and so much more. One of the most important tasks for our volunteers is that they are a steady, adult presence in the lives of the abused and neglected children in foster care that we serve. With the continued support of our volunteers, staff, and community, we ensured that each of them had a CASA volunteer who advocated on their behalf in the Ocean County foster care system.
