Ocean County CASA
Ocean County CASA
There are children in our Ocean County community who will not have a holiday season like the rest of us. They are foster children, and have been removed from their homes because of abuse and neglect. Many times, they are forgotten during our time of holiday cheer.

We want to change that!

Our goal at CASA of Ocean County is to brighten each and every child we serve during this coming holiday season, to let them know that hope exists. You can help bring that sense of joy and hope to a child who is fearful and uncertain of their future today.

Chapter 5. The cycle of abuse

“‘Those who don’t learn from the past are bound to repeat it’ is a quote that you can use for many parts of life, and this quote especially applies to parenting. Many parents within the foster care realm often use techniques that they learned from their own parents, for better or for worse. No parent is going to be perfect, and mistakes will happen. However, our CASAs can and continue to be a sounding board for parents who want to be reunified with their child. Our CASAs help individuals seek assistance on a multitude of levels in order to help them alter the cycle of abuse. We continue to see successes year after year, and we’ll continue working hard in the future to curb this phenomenon.” – Ariane, Executive Director of CASA of Ocean County

This holiday season, you can make a significant difference in the life of a foster child by donating to our CASA program.

Chapter 4. Serving as a board member

“Professionally, I have always been steered toward the concept of making our community a better place. Years ago I asked myself, how can this be done where I can effect real change? I found that place at CASA of Ocean County where for 11 years I have been a member of the Board of Trustees. Some people have said to me, 11 years is a long time. I tell them, we’re just getting started because our grassroots advocacy for abused and neglected foster children never ends. We’ve seen so many successes over the years, and they continue to grow and effect real change for children in need when more people get involved. That’s why I love serving as a board member.” – Ricky, President of CASA of Ocean County’s Board of Trustees

Sponsor a Child

You can donate now to provide a CASA Volunteer to a foster child on the waiting list to have a volunteer of their own. Your donation will cover the cost to recruit, train and supervise the volunteer for one year.

A child has rights.
We fight for them.

Abused and neglected children need more than the child welfare system can provide. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for children of Ocean County recruits, trains and coaches citizen-volunteers who advocate for abused children in the community and in the courtroom.
