As we celebrate and recognize Women’s History Month, there are women in every community and neighborhood throughout our counties, state and nation who do extraordinary things every single day. Here are a few of them we wanted to recognize.

There are many resources here to check out when learning about and trying to understand how trauma affects children and families. When we learn more about how trauma affects us, the better we can be for our children.

We want to congratulate our 2020-2021 CASA of Ocean County Volunteer of the Year, Jim Collery. Jim has been a superhero advocate for years, and the dedication he gave to his tumultuous case led us to give him this recognition.

Jim has told us, "it is true that when you help someone, you help yourself. Being a CASA has been such a great experience and I've met so many amazing people who are for the child."

We thank Jim for all of his work and volunteerism. He is living proof that you can help change a child's story. Check out the video with Jim below.

Sponsor a Child

You can donate now to provide a CASA Volunteer to a foster child on the waiting list to have a volunteer of their own. Your donation will cover the cost to recruit, train and supervise the volunteer for one year.

A child has rights.
We fight for them.

Abused and neglected children need more than the child welfare system can provide. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for children of Ocean County recruits, trains and coaches citizen-volunteers who advocate for abused children in the community and in the courtroom.
